ABOUT CUW2.0 Summer 2020
Building on the success of Camp Ubuntu Watts (CUW), the Harold Robinson Foundation will launch CUW 2.0, to continue supporting the social emotional development of our students during this global crisis. The virtual experience via the zoom platform will allow for high energy, creative interactive programming. Camper Kits will be given to campers to provide snacks and materials needed to support programming activities such as arts and crafts, yoga, creative writing/expression, and music. In between sessions there will be camper DIY projects on the Ubuntu Camper blog. Programming will continue to be grounded in the context of social emotional learning and HRF’s mission to provide a unique, empowering experience for campers. By creating a virtual version of Camp Ubuntu, The Harold Robinson Foundation can continue their work creating a positive impact on the South Los Angeles community, while also providing solidarity and support to parents.
